It seems they still want to go on another fad diet, even after failing on so many. I find it amazing how they are still searching for the simple truths about permanent weight loss.
I thought I was a hopeless case. In my thirties and set in my ways. I knew what foods I liked and wanted and nothing was going to change this. In fact, I felt hopeless. I thought that this was the way I was and increasing considering weight gain was going to be an inevitable aspect of my life.
Most importantly though – try not to get too hung up on the fast weight gain gain charts. Use the numbers as GUIDELINES only and try not to weigh yourself too often – in fact, I recommend only weighing-in at the doctor’s office.
The women had all been advised to gain from 0 to 5 kg, or 11 pounds, during their pregnancy. Seventeen of the women gained 5 kg or less. Diabetic mothers tend to give birth to overweight babies, but those who gained the recommended amount had lower birth weight infants and fewer who were considered overweight.
Gaining healthy weight is as easy or difficult as losing weight depending on the individual and body type. But the fact to remember is it is possible. Don’t obsess over doing things right and pushing yourself to limits to gain weight. It is your body and you should love and accept it first and convince yourself that you are going to gain weight to make yourself feel better than to impress others. The key is to be consistent and be patient.
